The second interpretation and translation conference is an initiative by the Dutch and Belgian industry associations for interpreters, translators and translation agencies (including VviN, CBTI-BKVT, and Vertalerskoffiehoek), together with the European Commission and the Universities of Antwerp, Utrecht, and Leuven.
Based on the topic “The Language Industry 4.0 – Embracing the future”, the conference wil follow those developments in the translation industry that are closely linked to technological innovations across society as a whole.
This unique two-day event is to be held at the Chassé Theater in Breda on 9 and 10 March 2018. It is organised for all interpreters, translators, language professionals, translation agencies, educators, and industry-related organisations. Current students and newcomers to professional interpretation and translation are most welcome. 750 people are expected to arrive in Breda for the conference, where they will listen to and discuss relevant topics with inspiring speakers. There will be plenty of opportunities to engage with colleagues and other companies in the industry in the Network Café.
